Cracked, lined, or black screens

A physically broken screen or one with vertical lines can't be repaired — it has to be replaced, and we keep common panels in stock so most swaps are done while you wait. Not sure if it's the screen? If an external monitor plugged into your laptop shows a normal picture, the panel (or its ribbon) is the problem, and that's a straight replacement.

Dim screen? It may not need a whole new panel

If your display flickers, fades, and then looks off — but you can still make out a faint image — the backlight isn't lighting up. On older CCFL panels that's usually a failed inverter board or a worn-out lamp, and we can repair or replace just those parts. We keep common inverter boards and CCFL lamps in stock, so dim-screen fixes are fast.

Newer LED screens have no inverter or lamp, so they don't get the classic dim-screen fault — there, a dim display points to the panel or the board, and we'll diagnose which.
